Common Name: Hahnemann΄s Tinctura acris sine Kali

Mental:

Very sympathetic towards the suffering of others (phos.). They cannot see an

animal suffering. They will be the first to rush and help. Causticum sympathy isn’t

focusing so much on matters of health like phos.

Ailments from long lasting grief and sorrow (ign., staph., nat-m.)

Sensitive but unexpressive.

Strong sense of justice (staph.). They rebel against authority, are socially conscious

and can become anarchists or fanatics.

Difficult concentration

Fear that something very bad will happen

Not much interested in sexual intercourse or complete lack of enjoyment of it

Fear of being alone in the dark during the night, fear of dogs, fear as if he had done

something evil or as if something bad were impending

Weeping disposition (puls., sep.)

Physical:

GRADUAL PARALYSIS, paralysis of single parts, especially of right side and numbness

of left side. The cause is very often an exposure to wind or draught. Facial paralysis

can develop really fast (i.e. in a period of two days).

The neuromuscular system is weak and predisposed to diseases.

Involuntary urination when coughing, sneezing, running, jumping, blowing the

nose due to the paralysis of the sphincter of the urethra.

Loss of voice (hoarseness) due to the paralysis of the vocal cords. Sensation in

throat as if there is mucus there that he cannot bring out.

Facial paralysis

Pain as if the place is raw.

Ailments from from anger or vexation; from suppressed eruptions.

Children slow in learning to walk

Burns or scalds

Stammering worse when excited

Constipation: stool passes better when person is standing; impeded by

hemorrhoids.

Aggravation: in clear, dry weather; better in damp wet weather.

Stomach complaints ameliorate by cold drinks (phos.)

Desires smoked meat, aversion to sweets

Retention of urine after confinement (ars.)

Shortening and induration of tendons (con.)

Nocturnal leg cramps

Neurological disturbances respond to Causticum very slowly but the remedy should

not be abandoned.
