CICUTA VIROSA
Common
Name: Water Hemlock
Mental:
Trismus (spasm of the jaw muscles). Tetanus and convulsions are in the
pathology of this remedy.
FRIGHTFUL
DISTORTIONS of the FACE - during convulsions.
Shrieking,
screaming, shouting before convulsions.
Excitement with
convulsions.
Moaning and
groaning during sleep.
Childishness
and Immaturity, patient feels like a child.
Foolish
jesting.
Weakness of memory.
Dementia ( memory loss).
MENTAL
RETARDATION, e.g. after a head injury.
Yielding, sweet and
angel-like behavior in a formerly aggressive person.
Aversion to
company.
Delirium with
singing and dancing.
Anxiety about
future and suspicious.
Answers abruptly
when spoken to.
Fear and
dread of men.
Suicidal
disposition.
Physical:
Remedy for the
nervous system. Indicated in cases of epilepsy and mental retardation.
Violent
convulsions, with frightful distortions.
Opisthotonos (spasm of the muscles causing backward arching of the head, neck,
and spine, as in severe tetanus, some kinds of meningitis, and strychnine
poisoning.). Arching of the back.
Convulsions
after head injuries.
Sudden, strong
jerks and spasms through head, stomach, arms, legs. Chorea.
Head drawn
backward, turned or twisted to one side. Spasms of the cervical spine.
Convulsions are
excited or renewed by even slight touch, from every noise.
Eruptions on head,
pustules which burn and run together, forming thick yellow scabs on face or
scalp.
STRABISMUS
(Disorder in which the eyes don't look in exactly the same direction at the
same time.)
Hemorrhage from
ears, during cerebral troubles, during convulsion.
Vomiting during or
alternating with convulsion.
Modalities
Agg: From tobacco smoke (Ign), touch.
Amel: From heat.
Craving:
Indigestible things - dirt, charcoal or chalk (Alum, Psor).
Desire for Cabbage.
KEY NOTES:
Cheerful - jumps
out of bed.
Sad from stories.
Eruptions - Face
like dried honey.
Eruptions on hand,
burning on touch.
Weakness in upper limbs after spasms.
