 Differential diagnosis: Fear - Vertigo

high places

·         Sulph. and Calc. stay away from a cliff because they have vertigo.

·         Calc. cannot see another person near the edge of a cliff etc.

·         This fear also exists in the dreams of calc. patients.

·         Staph. feels something in between fear of high places and vertigo. Impulse to jump

               from high places (arg-n., aur., gels.)

·         Impulse to jump

   Aur: Much depression. He has thought of jumping many times in the past.

             This thought makes him feel better.

   Arg-n.

   Gels.

   Staph.

·         Phos. and puls. have also vertigo high places. It is usually not very intense.
